A woman who is suspected of having Ebola is being treated at Northampton General Hospital

A woman who is suspected of having Ebola is being treated at Northampton General Hospital.
A spokesman for the hospital said: "I can confirm that we have a suspected case of Ebola. It is a female adult.

"She will be in isolation if she is suspected of having the illness."
The hospital did not reveal details about the identity of the woman or how she may have contracted the illness.

It comes after the London's Royal Free Hospital said British nurse Pauline Cafferkey, who contracted Ebola while in Sierra Leone, was no longer critically ill.
She remains in an isolation unit and is showing signs of improvement.
The nurse, from Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, had volunteered with Save the Children at the Ebola Treatment Centre in Kerry Town before eturning to the UK.
Save the Children has launched an investigation into how she was infected.

These are in line with Department of Health and Public Health England guidelines.
