Premise: A successful 'JAG' spin-off about criminal cases involving Navy and Marine personnel, handled by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. The second season introduced Timothy McGee as a new agent, and the series title was shortened from 'Navy NCIS' to 'NCIS.' In the third season, Cote de Pablo joined the cast as Mossad liaison Ziva David.
