Super toned: The 42-year-old showed off her impressive abs in the cut-out dress

The New Yorker flaunted her toned abs in the daring cut-out 'Selita' dress from label's Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

With her fabulous figure, Jennifer Lopez has never been afraid to take style risks.

And when it came to choosing an outfit for last night's episode of American Idol, it looks like the Latina star was going for an eccentric look.

The mother-of-two, 42, appeared to be going for Mad Max-inspired or gladiator-style in a Hervé Léger creation.

With such an eye-catching dress, the TV judge wisely chose some low-key tan high-heeled sandals so as to not distract.

Surprisingly, Lopez has never properly toured since her first album On The 6 was released in 1999.

She did perform on a mini tour with her estranged husband Marc Anthony in 2007 when she was pregnant with their twins Max and Emme.

J.Lo will kick off a 60-date world tour in June and is said to be close to making an official announcement regarding Iglesias.

A source told Celebuzz: 'She is very excited about him joining the tour.'

Although all dates have not been announced, the tour will take in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Her last album Love? has sold over 1million copies internationally and 318,000 in her native U.S.
