Snooki photos without her usual heavy make-up looks unrecognizable

She is well known for her deep tan and thick over-the top make-up.

So Jersey Shore star Snooki looked almost unrecognisable today in a picture she tweeted of herself sporting a much more natural look.

The reality star's red tinted hair was loose around her face which looked a little paler without her trademark bronzer.

And it looked from her next tweet like the star had received a slew of compliments for her more natural look.

She wrote: 'Can I just say how AMAZING my fans/supporters are! You guys really know how to put a smile on my face! Love You all beyond words....'

Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi's appearance has recently come under the spotlight after slimmed down to her target weight of 98lbs.

'At my heaviest, I was 126 pounds. That's a lot for me,' she told In Touch magazine last year.

The 24-year-old, who is currently appearing on the firth season of Jersey Shore which sees the gang return to Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
